Our Story

1521 Studio is a heart project by Chloe, a graphic designer based in Melbourne, Australia, with a lifelong love for stationery and all things cute.

Chloe's stationery journey began in high school with journaling and collecting washi tapes and paper goods. What started as a hobby soon became a creative outlet - a space to reflect, create and turn everyday thoughts into something personal. After years of designing stationery for clients, a sudden thought came to her one day in the shower: “Why not start my own stationery brand?”

And just like that, 1521 studio was born - right in the bathroom.

Why 1521?

The name Fifteen Twenty One Studio holds a special meaning. 15 represents 2015, the year Chloe's stationery journey began, while 21 represents 2021, the year 1521 Studio came to life.

Together, 1521 tells the story of where it all started.

At 1521 STUDIO, we believe stationery can be an extension of who you are - reflecting your style and personality, just like the clothes you wear or the way you decorate your space.
